For a long time, I struggled with a sense of being dominated—by circumstances, people, and a chaotic world. This feeling stemmed from negative leadership experiences where power and control overshadowed love and care. These leaders prioritized their ambitions over the well-being of others, leaving me disillusioned and powerless. I yearned for true leadership that reflected God’s love.

The turning point came when I developed a deeper relationship with God. Through prayer and Bible study, I discovered that true leadership, as God designed it, involves love and stewardship rather than domination. For instance, in Genesis 1:26, God gives humanity dominion over the earth, but this dominion calls for care and responsibility, not exploitation. True leadership mirrors God’s character—rooted in love, care, and stewardship.

The world’s concept of domination contrasts sharply with God’s idea of dominion. Domination forces control, dominion invites stewardship. As caretakers of God’s creation, we are called to reflect His love through our actions. This shift in perspective has been life-changing. Placing myself under God’s leadership has brought me freedom and purpose. His sacrifice on the cross exemplifies ultimate love and care, inspiring me to steward every area of my life faithfully.

Applying Stewardship Daily

Learning to lead with stewardship means serving others, nurturing relationships, and honoring God’s creation. I now approach relationships with greater care and responsibility. Stewardship is also about using our God-given gifts to positively impact the world, reflecting His love in all we do. This journey is ongoing, but God’s transformative power encourages me daily.
